General Information
Advanced Techniques in Endoscopic Sinus Surgery 2010 is a comprehensive three day (optional 4th day) continuing medical education program in rhinology and sinus surgery for practicing otolaryngologists with exposure to endoscopic sinus surgery. This course features didactic instruction from expert national and international faculty, individual hands-on cadaver lab dissection with powered instrumentation and live surgery. Offered over the President’s Day long weekend and Valentine’s Day, participants will immerse themselves in focused rhinology training with ample opportunity to rejuvenate the mind and body through world class spa facilities, hiking the beautiful Sonoran terrain, golf, tennis, dining and shopping. Spouses and significant others are invited to join participants and faculty members for an evening Valentines Day celebration in chic downtown Scottsdale.
Course Description
Participants will enjoy a dynamic program with presentations on medical and surgical treatment of difficult chronic rhinosinusitis, surgical complications including cerebrospinal fluid leak, medico-legal issues in endoscopic sinus surgery, image guided surgery, orbital and optic nerve decompression/thyroid orbitopathy surgery, allergic fungal sinusitis, sinus balloon catheter applications, endoscopic approach to the sphenoid and sella, particular attention to primary and revision frontal sinus surgery, the role of biofilms in rhinology, coding and billing pearls, in-office CT scanners, practice development strategies including website and marketing tips, and new instruments and technology applications for rhinology. Participants will also observe live surgery by Dr. Winston Vaughan and perform cadaver dissection with standard and powered instrumentation and sinus balloon catheters.

Course Special Feature
Intra-dissection CT scanning!!
During and after the cadaver dissection course, attendees will be able to scan their specimen and study the anatomic changes they've created. All specimens will be scanned prior to dissection and image guidance systems will be available for use during dissection.

Registration Information
Registration fees are $1200 for lecture/live surgery/lab (February 11-14) or $900 for lecture/live surgery only (February 11-13). Reduced registration fees for residents are $900 for lecture/live surgery/lab and $500 for lecture/live surgery only. A letter from the program director is required. The registration fee includes course handbook, meals (breakfast, lunch, breaks and Friday dinner symposium).

Cancellation Information
California Sinus Centers reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event of cancellation or postponement by the institution, we will refund registration fees, but are not responsible for any related costs, charges, or expenses to participants, including cancellation fees assessed by airlines, travel agencies, or hotels. We reserve the right to select students based on various criteria.
If a participant must cancel his/her course registration, he or she may receive a refund if written notification is sent by December 19, 2009. Refunds will not be processed after this date.
